I am going to try it
我真的很喜欢配方,事实上我可以用它来my leftover turkey soup. (If I do I promise to come back and let you know.) My main concerns were that I was looking for a recipe that used the turkey carcass and also called for additional meat, which this recipe does by indicating the turkey legs can be added.
我能想到的唯一的“变化”,我将making are that when I make soups and stews, both for appearance and taste, I prefer to have the carrots and celery sliced -- even if it means thinly -- rather than diced. With the exception of that, the only thing additional I will do is that I will place any and all bones going into the soup in a small zipperered bag (The kind you can find in dollar stores for delicate laundry.) I find that makes separating any meat from the bones very easy and quick.
Again, I will let you know...
This recipe is so easy and delicious. I used the carcass of a 7 1/2 pound turkey breast-didn't cut it up-just added the entire carcass in the pot. I sauteed the veggies in my Instant Pot on low and then switched setting to slow cooker. After 6 hours on low, the turkey was completely off the carcass. I did add two cups of cooked farfelle pasta to the soup before serving to make the meal heartier. I added more stock the following day because the pasta soaks up the soup. I still haven't mastered the timing for adding pasta to a slow cooker, so I always cook it separately and add to soup. Next time, I may try adding it to the pot during the last hour of cooking. This recipe is a keeper!
I just made turkey, noodle, vegetable soup that is delish. There is no need to add additional stock. I put the carcass and onions, lemon, and herbs from the inside into the crock pot. Cooked about 24 hours, strained the whole thing for stock. The next day, I finished on the stove by adding carrots, beans, corn, and noodles. If you cook the bones a long time, you will get wonderful stock.
Tasty soup. Needed to brown veggies & turkey legs in sauté pan, then add them to the crockpot. Deglazed the sauté pan with some of the stock and added that to crockpot also
