Forget rainbow bagels—they are so last month. It’s on to Oreo bagels. The chocolate swirled bagel slathered with Oreo cream cheese and actual cookies in the middle is an invention of theBagel Nookin the town of Freehold, New Jersey. The Oreo Overload, as it’s been dubbed by Bagel Nook owner and bagel aficionado Alex Berkowitz is actually just one of several “I can’t believe I’m eating this for breakfast” options. The café has also come out with a line of cereal bagels in every flavor you begged your parents to buy you when you were a kid: Fruity Pebbles, Cocoa Puffs, Cap’n Crunch, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. And while chocolate bagel + cookie cream cheese + cookie center may not be the healthiest breakfast ever invented, it’s definitely one we would eat (and then eat again).

The best part about this whole operation at the Bagel Nook is that, unlike those rainbow bagels, which, let’s be real, were just bagels with food coloring, the creations here have the sweet ingredients to back up the Instagram-worthy shots. Full disclosure: The Bagel Nook does make rainbow bagels too. They’re aware of your trends.

To keep up with whatever new monstrous bagel concepts come out of New Jersey next you can follow the café on Instagramhere. And do be careful if you try to make one of these at home. They really look like jobs for bagel professionals.
