Impossible Foods Opened a Delivery-Only, Plant-Based Burger Chain

Plant-based meat giantImpossible Foods— best known for theirImpossible Burger— has launched its own chain offast foodrestaurants… kind of. Using a modern method favored by everyone fromApplebee'stoGuy Fieri, Impossible's new delivery-only restaurant will operateas ghost kitchens, namely, working out of the Dog Haus hot dog chain.

Launched last week in nearly 40 locations across eight states nationwide, "The Impossible Shop" is available on delivery platforms including DoorDash, Postmates, Uber Eats, and Grubhub. Worth noting, not all Dog Haus locations will be operating as Impossible ghost kitchens; the chain itself has locations in 17 states.

The Impossible Shop's relatively small menu featurestwo types of burgers: A straightforward "Shop Burger" — offered as either a quarter-pound single or two-patty "Double Down" — features lettuce, tomato, onions, pickle, plant-based cheese sauce, and Shop sauce; or customers can score either a single or double Chili Cheese Shop Burger that also comes with plant-based Impossible Chili.

Other items include an Impossible Pat-B Melt,粘性的芝麻不可能掘金, Shop Fries, Shop Cheese Fries, Shop Chili Cheese Fries, and simply a cup of Impossible Chili. Oh, and if you want breakfast, you can grab an Impossible Breakfast Burrito which features "Crumbled Impossible Sausage Made From Plants & plant-based egg, crispy tater tots, tomatoes, avocado, plant-based cheese sauce & chipotle crema wrapped in a warm tortilla."

Impossible states that the menu was developed in collaboration with Impossible Foods' head of culinary, Chef J. Michael Melton and Dog Haus and features exclusive Impossible menu items that can't be found anywhere else. In the future, new Impossible products may also reportedly debut on The Impossible Shop menu before receiving a larger launch.

As for pricing, the standard Shop Burger is $11.99 and if you upgrade all the way to The Chili Cheese Double Down, expect to pay a beefy $22.99.
